Ahhh, The Price of Fame

My friend and I were given the chance to appear on a local television station today. It was quite an adventure. I drove, and we had a half hour drive to get to the studio. I thought I knew what road to take to get there. I was wrong. Very wrong! We got lost. We drove up and down this road I swore was the right road. Then we pulled over. I called the station manager, and my rabbit leader, and nobody answered. Then we called my friend's mom because we had been to the studio once before with her. She couldn't remember what road to take either. So we just picked the first road we came to and drove down it. And wouldn't you know it, it was the right road. we found the studio with no trouble after that. The show went on, and everything went smoothly. Thank goodness God was looking out for us!

My Whale Watching Wonders

I had the opportunity to go whale watching in Monterey Bay, California yesterday. What a trip! We got out to sea, and we began to see some whales. Grey whales to be more specific. They were so big! I just can't believe that something so huge could eat something so little. The marine biologist onboard the boat gave us a presentation on the Grey whale. She told us that the whales eat plankton, or little microscopic animals in the mud and water. She also told us about the little barnicles on the whale's skin. She had a preserved pice of skin from a Grey whale and it was so cool! It had the barnicles on it, but also some of the lice that live on the whale's skin. I didn't know whales had lice, did you? The lice looked like super-sized fleas. They were orange-red in color and were about an inch and a half long. Yuck! On the way back to shore, we saw two Rissos dolphins. They were so pretty! A bluish-grey with black sopts on top. They didn't stay too long. I think they were afraid of the boat. I had a good time, but some in our group weren't so lucky. About half of our group got seasick. I felt so bad for them! It really was rough out on the water, and I am suprised I myself kept my cookies. Everybody felt better after a nice lunch on the warf though! Yum!
